Dubby's HiFi Soundsystem

Dubby’s HiFi Soundsystem is a small upcoming sound system located in Phoenix, Arizona. It's run by a one man crew handling both sound and selecta. Vocals are left to the recording artists.

The goal of Dubby's is to help unify people and spread the love of roots, dub, rockers and steppa style reggae music around the valley and beyond.

The 6kw 3-way rig is currently built from off-the-shelf Alto PA speakers. The bottom end consists of 2 x 18” 1000w rms subs, the kick bins are loaded with 2 x 15” 1000w rms drivers and the top end is 2 x 12” 1000w rms. The source is 2 x Technics SL-1210 M5G turntables to a Denon X1850 mixer and out to a valve compressor and DBX DriveRack PA2 for signal processing. There are plans to build a custom rig in the future.
